For some reason which still remains unclear to me, I have signed up for the Ironman (details below), and decided I might just as well try to get someone, somewhere a bit of benefit out of the lunacy of the undertaking. Details of the A-Z Charity are below and I hope to raise €30,000 for this worthy charity by selling 300 bricks for €100 which will go toward building part of the planned A-Z hospital.
I’ll be updating my blog which will discuss the training, eating and sleeping required to try to get me across the finish line as well as any other thoughts I have along the way…
IRONMAN AUSTRIA KÄRNTEN ÖSTERREICH TRIATHLON
The popular long distance triathlon will take place on 5 July 2009 for the 11th time and will entail 3.8 km swimming in the Lake Wörthersee, 180 km cycling in two laps along two lakes, and a marathon of 42.195 km from Krumpendorf to Klagenfurt.
